Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dave Mowry, Breg’s Executive Chairperson, stepped in as interim CEO in May 2024. Dave is an executive with extensive medical device company leadership experience having led publicly traded and private equity-owned businesses across several market segments. Dave has specific expertise in the orthopedic industry, running Tornier, Inc. (now part of Stryker), a leading extremities business, as President and CEO prior to its acquisition.
Dave is excited about Breg and its future. He is committed to working with the management team to identify and make critical investments that will deliver near-term improvements, drive continued market share growth, and build the business into a market leader. Dave’s orthopedic experience will serve Breg well as we work closely with our distribution partners, customers, and their patients to provide best-in-class products through value-added services.
Dave and his wife reside in Orange County, a short commute into the Breg offices in Carlsbad, California. He has two daughters and three grandchildren and considers himself an avid sports fan.
Chief Human Resource Officer
Ashley brings more than 10 years of experience cultivating robust corporate cultures and serving in a variety of key Human Resources and training roles.
Ashley graduated with her B.B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management from the University of North Texas. Her degree includes International Management and Business Policy, which she earned in a European Study Abroad program. Ashley is a Professional in Human Resources, PHR; certified trainer in Situational Leadership;, master trainer for Culture Partners Culture of Accountability framework; and is also certified in Predictive Index.
On a personal level, she is a committed dog mom of a spunky Yorkie named King, and in her free time, she enjoys traveling and entertaining family and friends.
Chief Financial Officer
Matt Simons is an experienced senior financial executive with over 25 years of strategic financial leadership experience, having driven rapid growth and transformation across multiple industries. He leads Breg’s finance initiatives, business development efforts, and accounting and finance teams.
Prior to joining Breg, Matt spent more than 13 years with DJO Global, he also served as the CFO at Cubex, a global leader in automated medication dispensing for medical, veterinary and dental practices and CEO of Assault Fitness, a leading fitness equipment brand, located in Carlsbad California.
Matt is an avid philanthropist and amateur athlete. Together with colleagues, Matt helped raise over $250,000 for the Leukemia Society thru their Team in Training program. In 2016, he also raised over $50,000 for Challenged Athlete Foundation (CAF) and competed in and finished the Ironman World Championships in Kona Hawaii. He also competed his second Boston Marathon in 2022.
He served 11 years as the Chairman of the City of Carlsbad’s Parks and Recreation Commission and was an Advisory Board Member of San Diego Sports Innovators (SDSI). Matt earned his Accounting degree from the University of San Diego and is a former CPA.
Matt lives in Carlsbad, California, with his wife, Dawn, and two children.
Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer
Steve Ingel is a highly accomplished executive with more than thirty-five years of experience in the orthopedic device industry. As the Chief Business Management and Innovation Officer at Breg, Steve leads the company’s efforts to develop and commercialize innovative products and solutions that meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers. He is also responsible for evaluating potential partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Breg, Steve owned a Southern California-based medical distribution business; he served as Western Regional Sales Manager at Professional Care Products (ProCare); and he joined DJO—then Smith & Nephew DonJoy, now Enovis—after acquisition of ProCare. He spent more than twenty-eight years in C-suite roles for DJO leading multiple divisions and playing a key role in developing and launching many successful products. He also served as the CEO of Precision Medical.
Steve is the son of a medical sales professional, so he effectively grew up in the industry. He and his wife of 32 years, Tracy, are longtime residents of Carlsbad, Calif. They are the proud parents of three grown children: Ashley, 30, Tyler, 27, and Michael, 25. Steve fondly refers to his family as his “foundation.”
General Counsel, Secretary & Compliance Officer
Paula joined Breg in 2014 and has an extensive background in compliance and legal affairs in the medical industry. Some of her main duties include ensuring Breg adheres to all industry regulations and policies as well as managing the Compliance, Audit and Legal teams. Prior to joining Breg, she served as the VP, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Secretary for United Orthopedic Group, which merged with Breg in 2014, and as Attorney, Compliance Officer for St. Jude Medical Inc.’s Neuromodulation Division.
Paula enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her two children. Her hobbies include traveling, fitness, fashion, interior design and college football (her teams are Texas A&M and Notre Dame). Paula also volunteers as a child advocate for children in foster care through Dallas CASA. Paula is a native Texan and hails from a small town in northeast Texas.

VP of Global Supply Chain and Operational Excellence
Srinivas “SP” Pinapati serves as Breg’s Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Operational Excellence, playing a crucial role in advancing the company’s supply chain strategies and operational efficiencies.
SP brings extensive experience from Eos Energy Enterprises, where he served as Senior Director of Supply Chain, developing a robust sourcing strategy and centralizing global operations. Prior to Eos, he was Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain at Cutera, leading a team of over 200 employees and achieving significant improvements in margins and inventory management.
SP’s background includes leadership roles at Terumo Medical Corporation, Wright Medical, and Covidien/ev3, highlighting his expertise in strategic sourcing and operational planning. He holds an MBA in Finance and an MS in Engineering Technology from the University of Memphis and is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) through APICS.

Wilson Constantine is a board member with over two decades of experience in the medical device industry. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of Ottobock Healthcare since 2022, where he also held a position on the Global Management Board. Wilson’s leadership journey includes pivotal roles such as President & General Manager of the Americas at Smiths Medical, where he led a comprehensive business transformation and facilitated its sale to ICU Medical.
Prior to his tenure at Smiths, Wilson was President and CEO of Nihon Kohden America, orchestrating a successful reorganization and enhancing the company’s presence in the U.S. healthcare market. He also led Monarch Medical Technologies as CEO, a private equity-backed spinout of Hospira Worldwide. His extensive career includes executive positions at Stryker Orthopaedics, Misonix Inc., and Henry Schein Inc. Recognized as one of the ‘Top 25 Leaders in Healthcare Technology’ by HIMSS, Wilson holds a doctorate from Samuel Merritt University and completed the Executive Management Program at the University of Notre Dame. His industry contributions extend to board memberships with AdvaMed and MDMA, underscoring his commitment to advancing medical technology.

Mr. Sris is a Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners. Prior to joining HPS in 2023, Mr. Sris was a Director in the Portfolio Operations Group at Elliott Management where he was responsible for driving value creation initiatives at multiple portfolio companies. Prior to Elliott, Mr. Sris spent twelve years in investment and portfolio company operating roles at Icahn Partners and an Icahn-spin off fund dedicated to healthcare investing, working collaboratively with management teams on strategic and operational repositioning efforts. Mr. Sris started his career as a consultant at Bain & Company and EY-Parthenon and an investment banker at Wasserstein Perella & Company. Mr. Sris holds a BA with honors in Economics from Brown University.
Director & Audit Committee Chair
Vickie Capps has more than 30 years of experience as a CFO and audit professional in the healthcare industry, including an 11-year tenure as executive vice president, CFO and treasurer for DJO Global Inc., a global provider of medical devices. Earlier in her career, she spent 10 years with Ernst & Young as a senior audit and accounting professional.
Vickie currently serves on the senior advisory board of Consonance Capital Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm. She also serves on the boards of directors of publicly traded life sciences company, Janux Therapeutics and publicly traded home health company, Amedisys, as well as private medical device company, Enable Injections. In addition, Vickie previously served on the boards of several other publicly traded companies in the life sciences and healthcare space, including NuVasive, Otonomy, Silverback Therapeutics, Synthorx, Connecture and SenoRx, as well as private companies Enclara Pharmacia, OmniGuide and RF Surgical Systems. She also serves as a member of the board of directors of the San Diego State University Research Foundation.
